baby reese part 2

I just can't get enough of this girl.

After visiting her in the hospital, I went over to Corey and Jourdan's house to take some more pictures.

I asked Jourdan if she had been thinking about props or poses she wanted to use.

Being a sleep deprived mommy of a few day old baby, she said, "Ummm...no, I haven't thought about any of that." 

Wait, not everyone sits around looking at objects in their houses thinking about how they could be used in newborn photos?

...So anyway, I took her lead and we went completely simple.

We just kept her naked with a pretty pink bow and a plain white blanket.

In this case, simple was definitely the right choice. 

I think it captured their family in those first days of Reese's life just perfectly, which is really all that Jourdan wanted.

We wanted some sleepy newborn shots but Reese was just such an alert newborn, even in the hospital.

I actually went back and took more the next night when she was asleep, but after going through all of the pictures, my favorites are the ones where she is awake and alert.

Upon seeing that first one, Christian said, "Oh, I just want to smell her hair."

I totally agree.

Does Jourdan not look ridiculously gorgeous considering that she had a seven day old baby who was feeding every two hours at the time?
